Impetus II

So, nothing spurs one on like a bit of friendly competition. My BFF from Ramstein, Shelli, and my BFF here, Jeanne, have lost 30 and 15.5lb respectively... I have lost 2... the same 2.... over & over each month...

SO - Shelli, Jeanne, & I are all going to hit the big 4-0 next year (within a few months of each other - me first, dang it!) and I can't be the only one not fit now can I? So I have to, RIGHT NOW, reaffirm my desire, my quest to BE FIT BY 40!

I need your encouragement, your support, your gentle reminders, hints, tips (even your evil vegan plan to take over the world, Elisa) and your YOU GO GIRLs. I have some serious weight to lose and some serious health to reclaim.

  2. I believe you are doing the live strong website for food counting? Have you looked at myfitnesspal.com? You can check in on other friends that are using the program too. GL and GOOOOOOOOOOOO MYLYNKA! :)

    YOu will do it! I can see it now!
    I lost about 4 pant sizes (I went fom 358 to 307)over the last two years by making adjustments (It probably would be more if I actually was able to spend more time active and away from the desk, but so far that isnt happening too much.)
    I am using transformation.com -- free and actually pretty decent. It's helped in some ways to cut the stiffled desire to wring students proverbial necks even, while grading....
    I need a good yoga class here in Tucson.

  5. yay, mylynka! your yoga class is a great start! ask your yoga teacher if she'll show you a practice sequence you can do at home, too. if you do 15-30 minutes of yoga when you first get up (yes, BEFORE the coffee!), you may find yourself a little more invigorated to start your day--and you may not need as much coffee! ;) just don't fall asleep again during savasana, hehehe.
